AIM & SCOPE

The book provides an overview of enabling technologies, nano-electronics, cyber-physical systems, architecture, interoperability, and industrial applications of the Internet of Things and Internet of Everything

The Internet of Things is driving a radical revolution, with potential applications across multiple industries including Health Care, Pharmaceuticals, Food and Beverage, Agriculture, Electronics Telecommunications, Automotive, Aeronautics, Transportation Energy and Retail. This has opened up numerous possibilities to deploy the vast power of IoT in developing tangible solutions. Semiconductor companies, device and product suppliers, infrastructure software makers, application software creators, consulting firms as well as telecoms and cloud service providers are all set to reap ample benefits from this technology shift annually. Moreover, increased tech competition may lead to tremendous transformational changes in market share status.

The IoT will bring about technological advancement, thanks to its ability to allow machines to exchange different kinds of data with each other. The sheer amount of gadgets connected to the Internet of Everything is creating an abundance of interconnections that yields valuable information, which can be seamlessly shared and transformed into useful knowledge. For IoT technology to reach its full potential, however, it must integrate into markets worldwide and be supported by standardization providing interoperability and reliability. Connecting people, processes, data and things in a single cloud-based system that utilizes intensified storage and computing capabilities further encourages standardization for communication as well as metadata. Of course, product manufacturers must ensure that security, privacy, safety and trust are upheld from beginning to end when creating products for this kind of environment.
The topics include but not limited to :

1. Introduction to Internet of things and Internet of everything
2. Internet of things in the industrial applications
3. Integration of heterogeneous smart objects, applications and services
4. Evolution from device to semantic and business interoperability
5. Software define and virtualization of network resources for internet of things
